M I D (Wellington Hotel)

During my placement year, I worked as a lighting design intern at Marlowe Integrated Design. The role focused on designing lighting solutions for large industrial and commercial projects, ensuring effective placement and performance.

My main responsibility was using DIALux to calculate the position and quantity of lighting for different projects. This involved creating accurate layouts to meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.

One of the most significant projects I worked on was the Wellington Hotel, where external lighting was needed to highlight the building’s Victorian features. I digitally recreated key architectural elements using drawings and images, producing a detailed lighting plan that was later implemented and installed.
