Skateboard Branding

This project focuses on designing a new product and developing a brand identity around it. The aim is to create something with a distinctive feature that stands out in the market.

I designed an electric skateboard featuring a fishtail deck shape and a four-wheel-drive system to improve performance and control. I used the sunfish-inspired shape to influence the overall aesthetic and create a strong, recognisable brand.

A performance test compared the fishtail design to the Evolve GTR Bamboo under the same conditions. The fishtail board accelerated faster and reached a higher top speed due to its four-wheel-drive system, which improves power and traction.

The packaging was designed to match the skateboard and act as a display, reducing waste while improving presentation. Inspired by the sunfish, the branding creates a strong visual identity, with built-in storage to keep components organised.
